ETS announced today that it will formally introduce its international TOEFL preparation tool, the TOEFL? Practice Online, to China on March 10, 2007. In conjunction with the introduction of the TOEFL Practice Online, ETS is launching an official month long TOEFL Simulation Test campaign.
TOEFL Practice Online is a web-based simulation test officially provided by ETS, the makers of the TOEFL? iBT test. TOEFL Practice Online is derived from previously administered TOEFL iBT tests and provides instant scoring by ETS. Through providing a real TOEFL iBT test experience, TOEFL Practice Online assists TOEFL test takers in becoming familiar with the test format and measures their readiness for test day.
TOEFL Practice Online was introduced globally in July 2006, but access was limited to purchase with international credit cards through the official TOEFL Practice Online Web site. From March 10, Chinese test takers can experience the official simulation tests by directly paying Renminbi.
During the TOEFL Simulation Test campaign from March 10 to April 10, ETS and its participating institutions will jointly offer price of RMB280 to 500 TOEFL simulation test takers. Additionally, to further reward participants, ETS will offer chances to win two grand prizes: free access to one administration of the TOEFL iBT test and five secondary prizes: a free opportunity to access TOEFL Practice Online.
